Why Use this Blog?


Too many cookbooks and blogs make bread baking seem difficult and confusing. You don’t need fancy flour, equipment, or techniques.

Home bakers have been making bread for centuries without using bakers’ math, expensive equipment, or even precision. Loaves may be misshapen. Crusts aren’t always perfect. The crumb may be dense. That happens. It still tastes good.

Baking bread doesn’t have to be hoity-toity. Neither is this blog. I promise to keep it simple. Even the pictures will be basic (none of that perfectly lit, Insta-worthy stuff). Regular people baking regular bread.
